    We went on a week long mission trip to Chichicastenango, Guatemala the day after getting engaged. We went with a team of five others to help build some houses and work with people in the community.

  • Kansas

    November 2-4, 2007

    Kansas

    A couple weeks before our engagement, we headed to Kansas with Shelli and her girls for Kristen's cousins’ wedding. Brian had the opportunity to meet Kristen's whole family from Kansas. Brian was “initiated” into the family and welcomed with a beer.  We also got to spend some quality time with Kristen's amazing parents.

  • Rachel and Ted's Wedding

    October 27-29, 2007

    New York City

    We were blessed to be able to join Rachel and Ted along with their friends and family for their special day. While in NY, we saw some of the amazing sites. We went to the Brooklyn Bridge, the Apple store, FAO Schwartz, Carnegie Deli, Rockafeller Center, and Central Park.

  • Hawaii

    Septemer 2007

    Honolulu, Hawaii

    We went to Hawaii with Shelli and Aaron for a week. They left the kids at home and came with us to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful beaches. We got to see most of the touristy Hawaiin sites including North Shore, Waikiki Beach, Haunama Bay, Pearl Harbor, and of course, a luau!

  • Steelers Home Opener!

    September 2007

    Pittsburgh, PA

    If you know Brian, you know that he comes from Pittsburgh. He loves everything about Pittsburgh, the Pirates, the Penguins, and of course, the Steelers. So this past fall we went to the Steelers Home Opener with our good friends John and Nichole Siwicki.  Kristen got to experience the city and Steelers fans for the first time.  We are thinking of making this an annual tradition.

  • Wild Dunes

    Summer 2006 & 2007

    Isle of Palms, SC

    For the past 3 years we have taken summer vacations to Wild Dunes in South Carolina. We go with Brian’s family and friends. We spend our time on the beach, in the pool, eating a lot of food, driving the golf cart around, riding bikes, and kayaking. We have even had some run-ins with alligators; well… alligator rafts at least.Â

  • John & Nichole's Wedding

    Fall 2006

    Rochester, NY

    Brian was a groomsman in his good friend John’s wedding. We went to Rochester for the wedding and had a great time celebrating John and Nichole's big day.  Brian spent the weekend around his college friends and I spent the weekend bugging him about being engaged.  Â
